Yoshi Yoshi (ヨッシー in Japanese) is a fictional dinosaur in the Super Mario Brothers series, and first appeared in "Super Mario World". Some of his abilities include his long, sticky tongue, which is used to grab things or even swallow enemies, and his flutter jump, which allows him to stay in the air for a long period of time. He's also able to turn into different colors, depending on the fruits he eats. Yoshi made his first appearance in the Mario games in "Super Mario World", and he's also made appearances in nearly every Mario sports and spin-off games, such as Mario Party, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, etc. He also has his own series, such as Yoshi's Story, Yoshi's Universal Gravitation, Yoshi's Touch & Go, and Yoshi's Island DS. Yoshi is one of the more recognizable players in the game. He's also heavily featured in the Mario merchandise.
