Ishikawa Rika is a current member of Ongaku Gatas, former leader of Biyuuden and former member of Morning Musume. Ishikawa joined Morning Musume as a fourth generation member, along with Yoshizawa Hitomi, Tsuji Nozomi, and Kago Ai, in April 2000. Shortly after joining the group, Ishikawa and Kago were added into the subgroup Tanpopo to replace Ishiguro Aya who left the group earlier that year.

In August of 2004, Ishikawa became the leader of the new group Biyuuden. In May 2005, she graduated from Morning Musume to continue on with Biyuuden. In January 2008, it was announced that Biyuuden would disband at the end of their spring tour in June 2008. In October 2008, a new group, HANGRY & ANGRY, was formed to promote h.NAOTO's fashion line of the same name. Ishikawa and Yoshizawa Hitomi were placed in the group portraying the characters "Hangry" and "Angry", respectively.

On May 31, 2009 all Elder Club (the older members of Hello! Project. All members/groups that are not Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou, and C-ute) members graduated from Hello! Project, including Ishikawa. She is currently active in HANGRY & ANGRY and Ongaku Gatas, as well as a variety talent.
