Ishikawa Rika is a current member of Ongaku Gatas, former leader of Biyuuden, and former member of Morning Musume. Ishikawa joined Morning Musume as a fourth generation member, along with Yoshizawa Hitomi, Tsuji Nozomi, and Kago Ai, in April 2000. Shortly after joining the group, Ishikawa and Kago were added into the subgroup Tanpopo to replace Ishiguro Aya who left the group earlier that year.
In August of 2004, Ishikawa became the leader of the new group Biyuuden. In May 2005, she graduated from Morning Musume to continue on with Biyuuden. In January 2008, it was announced that Biyuuden would disband at the end of their spring tour in June 2008. Ishikawa has been focusing on Ongkau Gatas, a group that was formed in June 2007.
