Yoshizawa Hitomi is a Hello! Project soloist and former leader of Morning Musume. Yoshizawa joined Morning Musume as a fourth generation member in April 2000 along with Ishikawa Rika, Tsuji Nozomi, and Kago Ai.
In July 2000, Yoshizawa was added into the subgroup Pucchimoni to replace Ichii Sayaka who left the group earlier that year. In 2002, the graduations of Goto Maki and Yasuda Kei were announced and Ogawa Makoto and Ayaka were added into the group to replace them. The new lineup had one original song, WOW WOW WOW, which was released in the "Pucchi Best 4" album, but they never released a single.
Yoshizawa became the subleader of Morning Musume to Yaguchi Mari in 2005 when then-leader Iida Kaori graduated. However, when Yaguchi suddenly resigned from the group, Yoshizawa became the leader, with Fujimoto Miki as subleader.
On May 6, 2007, Yoshizawa graduated from Morning Musume. In June 2007, Ongaku Gatas was formed, in which she was the leader. Yoshizawa currently remains as a soloist in Hello! Project, but has yet to release any works. She is currently focusing on Ongaku Gatas.
